So a lot has happened in the last few months.. Let's begin the update!

May 5th.. Engagement pictures
May 16th.. New House!
June 1-17th.. Argentina

Save the Dates have arrived. I will be sending those out by Friday!

In the mean time my wonderful mother has been coordinating the catering and venue for the wedding!

Yesterday (Thursday)... I was at an event last night and they did a raffle..

The prize was:
1 night stay at the Biltmore Hotel for 2
Couple's Massage at the Biltmore Spa
Champagne Sunday Brunch at the Biltmore for 2

DAMN IT!

Wait!!! They aren't here.. so they call another number....

3....0....8.....5....

DAMN IT!! but yet again, the person wasn't there..

I am now constantly repeating... "COME ON 3027!!"

They now call... 3...0....2..(holding my breath)... 7!!!!

Proceed to scream like I just won the Powerball for 300 Million Dollars!!

My co-workers and I are now all jumping up and down!! I am telling you we made quite the spectacle!

YAY!! Good Morning...

Dress Fitting D-Day: Saturday 

I woke up this morning and bravely stepped on the scale:

Ladies, we have dropped 3 pounds!! YAHOOO!!!! 

Today is Vegetable Day aka Salad Day!! Let's see what the damage is tomorrow.. :) 

And the dieting begins... Day 1

I have decided to do this Diet from Pinterest.

Day One All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

What I brought to work:
Oranges, Grapefruit, Strawberries, Pineapple, Grapes, Apples, Watermelon, and a lot of lemons for my water. (if you know me, you know I dislike drinking plain water.. so boring.. needs flavor..)

Another accomplishment: on the 19th will be 2 months since I had Coke!!!

I will keep you posted on how much weight I lose.. need to look good for dress fitting on Saturday and upcoming engagement pictures!!

My thoughts on Wedding Favors...

People like food! (aka Nicole Likes Food)

I am thinking something yummy and edible... EVERYONE LOVES A CAKE POP or A TRUFFLE or a LITTLE CUPCAKE!

No one likes the awkward gift in which you KNOW you are going to throw out or give to a child.

I like the reaction of...
Inside head voice: "Wow, I have had a lot to drink and I have the munchies! Crap, the food has been put away... food food food food food...
Loud Voice: "CAKE POP!!!! YESSSSSSSS! BEST FAVOR EVER!"

My Style..

My Style for the wedding needs to be clean lines.. Very geometric. I hate Foofy centerpieces. See below (the pink flowers, very pretty, but not me.. I will protest!!)

Hence.. My wedding needs to look like this.. save the ooooo's and ahhh's .. its going to be EPIC!

So I would like to have a mix of long tables and round ones..

Think the bottom grey but with the yellow flowers (but not yellow) just the shape.. white roses or hydrangeas.. yes!!

Food Ideas

I love the idea about having a "Mini Comfort Foods" Station or as the appetizers..

These make my inner fat kid soo happy.. yummmmmmmmm!

All that's missing is a mini mac and cheese!!

Beautiful Day...

Today consisted of the following: Snuggle buns (aka Gaston) The beach New sun tan stuff - oils lotions rtc. And a stack of wedding magazines!!! Wedding nugget#1: I learned some new favors ideas I really liked!!! Win win for everyone! Wedding nugget #2 - i learned the proper order for the ppl walking down the aisle. the Date

The date of our wedding has been a very fun journey... let me explain...

We had like the following dates:
December 29th: Everyone's has off around that time of year... its Gnocchi Night and we just all around like it..
November 17th: My Grandparent's 66th Wedding Anniversary.. HOW SWEET!

and that's it.. we were pretty sure that we would get them... oooh fate is a fickle bitch..
December 29th - another very good friend of ours is getting married, Fernando's Cousin, Monica.
November 17th - the Church is having a massive retreat that day and its not movable.. i begged. not happening..


so at the moment we are looking at the alternatives...
11.10.12 - pretty cool..
12.1.12 - kinda cool too...

We will have a final answer on April 2nd 10:30 AM.. Expect a post on that then...
